The past year has been a whirlwind of challenges for many of us, especially folks our age. Geopolitical tensions are insane. Financial strains are growing like weeds in an abandoned field. Personal losses & loved ones transitioning have taken their toll. The harsh realities of these wars, growing economic uncertainty, wild weather, & even food supply contamination have tested our resilience. Yet, here you are, standing strong at the dawn of a new year.
Thank you & congratulations—you are needed for just such a time as this. This is the day of the ELEVATED. I was about to post this & the impossible to ignore energy brought by Katt Williams’s recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay happened. His interview, which exploded across social media has resonated deeply with many of us who have felt the weight of societal challenges. Mr. Williams’s candid discussion about the value of human life, the importance of integrity, & the responsibility to uplift others perfectly aligns with the ELEVATED9 mission.
Mr. Williams’s viral interview highlighted a sobering truth: the value of human life & the truth has reached a dangerously low point. “I don’t know why liars lie.”, “Winners aren’t allowed to let losers rewrite history.”& “2024 will be the year of truth.” are my favorite 3 quotes from the bit I watched. They also capture the essence of what this community is about. His commitment to supporting up-and-coming talent, even in the face of personal adversity, echoes our own dedication to fostering growth & connection within our community. This year we’re focused on empowering & uplifting our families & communities, starting with ourselves.]

In 2024, ELEVATED is more than just a name—it’s our promise to you.
Connect: The world feels more disconnected than ever. Growing up, we heard about “The Man” & “Big Brother,” & by the ’90s, the fear of the “all-seeing eye” & the Illuminati was widespread. High divorce rate, rising illiteracy, social media & a global pandemic have amplified these fears & eroded the unity within our communities. The statistics & the realities are enough to make one self quarantine. The most glaring & dangerous revelation as we enter 2024 is this: the value of human life has reached a dangerous low.
It feels like that moment in a movie where a few people realize the meteor is about to hit, & the rest of the world is left to deal with the fallout. ELEVATED9 is a platform to connect like-minded individuals who support, challenge, & inspire each other. We will learn from & support each other as we relearn the value of the human soul. We will be a voice of warning, preparation, & solutions in 2024.
Cultivate: We must start with ourselves. Many of you may be grappling with self-doubt, questioning past decisions, yearning for deeper meaning, & lacking clarity about your future. Whether you’re single & balancing financial challenges with personal desires, parents experiencing the “empty nest,” rebuilding after a company shutdown, or simply overwhelmed by the immensity of our times, the ELEVATED community is here for you.
I envision offering a plethora of resources designed to foster improved thinking, speech, & personal habits. The way to change the world is not through some leader or government. The power is in a collective of individuals living the highest expression. This year, we’re excited to produce literature & eventually workshops that delve deeper into each aspect of the ELEVATED principles—Empowered, Luminous, Exuberant, Virtuous, Appreciative, Thriving, Exceptional, Divine.
We will explore frameworks, programs, possibilities, & solutions that will empower you to live the life you truly deserve. These challenges aren’t going anywhere. But like the symbol nine, ever spiraling to higher levels, we are going to rise above them, gaining a heavenly perspective. Expressing our best selves within & without, we can build that heaven on earth.
Celebrate: Every step forward deserves recognition. In a world where the United States is no longer united, our community celebrates growth & milestones in our individual journeys & as a collective. This year, we’re thrilled to introduce new additions to our line of clothing & accessories. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to embody our values & serve as a daily reminder of who you are & who you aspire to be. I was impacted by the work of Dr. Emoto, revealing how water is influenced by messages in its environment, even to the point of changing its structure. Considering our bodies are 65% or more water, as well as the messages coming through the screens & people all around us, it’s a gift to know we can positively influence our mental & physical health. From cozy tees to empowering accessories, you’ll find your new favorite gear in our shop.
Rediscovering Passions: The ELEVATED9 Journey Begins
Many middle-aged Americans experience what’s commonly called a ‘midlife crisis.’ (Yes, if you’re a 70’s/80’s baby, we are middle aged!). It’s more than just a stereotype; it’s a reality marked by self-doubt, loss & confusion, questioning past decisions, & a yearning for deeper meaning.
Imagine standing in the cereal aisle, overwhelmed by choices, but equally overwhelmed by life. You wonder, "Is this really it? Oatmeal or Raisin Bran?" We find ourselves stuck in routines, burdened by responsibilities, & losing sight of our passions. Feeling disconnected from ourselves & even the people we share a home with. It’s easy to feel like we’re merely surviving instead of thriving.
Childhood in Baton Rouge through the ’80s, teens in the Bay Area, & adulting in Los Angeles, I’ve experienced the challenges most melanated men live which birthed a love for ancient cultures, history, & athletics. My journey was filled with moments of elation, anger & discovery that eventually fostered a profound love for my family & community. This is where ELEVATED9 actually began.
ELEVATED9 is a lifestyle designed to help you rediscover your soul & your passions. To reignite your zest for life & build a foundation of intentional living. It’s about choosing the contents of your life with care & determining your own direction, meaning & value.
